Welcome

Welcome to Professional Career Internship!  I am Kari Johnson and I am the coordinator for the internship program for Metropolitan School District of Wabash County.  I have worked for this district since 2011.  I am passionate about educational technology and preparing students to be successful in a global workforce.  I am also the proud mother of three fantastic kids, and the wife of a amazing man that is in the field of law enforcement.  In my spare time I enjoy running my own business, as well as camping, swimming, and exploring new places with my family.

The PCI program is in it's third year here at MSDWC.  Our goals for the program are to get students out of the classroom and allowing them to utilize their skills and abilities that they have gained throughout their academic journeys in real life workplace environments.  By doing this their senior year they build relationship with people in their chosen field of work that will serve them in the future when they hopefully choose to bring their talent back to Wabash County.  Also, it's a fantastic opportunity to explore some career fields that they may or may not know much about, letting them make better informed decisions about their direction for higher eduction.
